Dr. Schnarr

Dr. Schnarr, a 1970 Purdue Graduate, has been the owner of Irvington Pet Clinic since 1985. Dr. Schnarr worked his way through Veterinary School as a medical photographer in the Department of Medical Illustration. This avocation has extended into his practice where many procedures and clinical cases are photo documented in the patients history. Scuba diving and underwater photography are major hobbies for Dr. Schnarr and his photos of underwater scenes and fish adorn the clinic walls. This hobby has also earned him the title of being the unofficial photographer of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Schnarr is active in professional veterinary activities and has held the following positions; past president of the local Indianapolis Veterinary Association, CIVMA, and a past president of the State Veterinary Medical Association. He was also co-chairman of the State Veterinary convention program for 17 years, and is currently the chair of the State VMA Health and Wellness Committee, and serves on the state convention planning committee. Dr. Schnarr is also a past-president of the Purdue Veterinary Alumni Association, and served on the admissions committee for the School of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue for four years.
     
  Caryn, Practice Manager

Caryn has worked for Irvington Pet Clinic since 1989.  She began as a receptionist and is now the Practice Manager.  Caryn has a strong knowledge base in animal behavior and still enjoys learning new information.  She shares her home with her three dogs: Wizard, Slugo and Gunny and cat, Sporticus.

     
 

 

Carly, Registered Veterinary Technician

Carly is our Registered Veterinary Technician.  Carly graduated from Purdue University with her bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology.  Carly completed her practicum at Broad Ripple Animal Clinic and passed her State Board Exam in January of 2009.  Carly recently relocated to Historic Irvington and shares her home with her two cats, Joey and Ollie.

     
 

 

Tricia, Team Leader

Tricia is our Team Leader.  She joined Irvington Pet Clinic with previous veterinary assisting experience.  Tricia is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Animal Agribusiness.  She shares her home with her dogs: Murphy, Odie and Iggy and her cats: Gizmo, Percy and Clyde.

     
 

 

Leslie, Receptionist/Assistant

Leslie has been employed with Irvington Pet Clinic since 1994, she is very patient and knowledgeable.  Leslie can help you understand the best preventative care for your pets. She shares her home with her dogs Bosco and Radio: and her two cats Harlie and Simba. 

     
 

Kristin, Receptionist

Kristin is our newest team member having joined our staff in the summer of 2011. She has previously worked in the veterinary field and was very excited to join our staff. Kristin has the perfect personality for our front office as she loves to work with animals and she loves to talk. Kristin shares her home with her pomeranian Magnum.

     
  Gina, Becca and Diana, Kennel Staff

Gina, Becca and Diana make up a very important part of our clinic's staff. They are our wonderful kennel attendants. They come in daily and perform a variety of cleaning tasks around the clinic and, more importantly, take excellent care of our kenneled animals. Each of our kennel attendants is compassionate with the animals and thorough in their cleaning duties. They are the reason that our clinic remains presentable. Although they work behind the scenes, their dedication to our clinic is irreplaceable.
